About this gaming cafe

150 words · editorial

Mench Cafe is on West 1st Street in North Vancouver. Google files it as a board game club, which covers half of what is inside: the venue's own site lists 10 gaming PCs and five PS5 consoles next to the board game library, and the count here comes from that page rather than from a review.

No hourly rate is published. Reviews mention about C$10 an hour for gaming and describe a price rise over the past year, with the PS5 seats charged separately.

The cafe opens at 15:00 on weekdays and 11:00 at weekends, closing at midnight and at 02:00 on Friday and Saturday — one of four venues in the metro open past midnight.

Across 77 reviews with text, staff is the most common subject at 27 mentions, food and drinks at 19 and the board games at 18. Hardware is raised 8 times. One review describes booking eight PCs and finding two of them out of order.
