GamingCafeMap is an independent directory of places where you can play: gaming cafes, PC bangs and LAN shops, esports centers, and gaming lounges inside airports. It is for people who want to play with friends, book a room for a group, find somewhere still open after midnight, or spend a layover at a PC instead of in a gate seat.
The directory covers 243 venues in 54 cities and 10 airports across the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Australia, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Canada and New Zealand.
Why it exists
We are a small group of people who follow esports and remember the 2000s, when hardly anyone had a gaming PC at home and you went to the internet cafe to play with your friends. Those rooms still exist, in more places than most people expect, and they are hard to compare.
Map apps tell you that a gaming cafe exists. They rarely tell you what decides where you go: how many PCs are inside, whether the door is open at 2am, what an hour costs, and, in an airport, whether the lounge is before or after security. We collect those facts and put them side by side.
- 164 of our 243 venues have a PC count, 5,095 machines in total.
- 176 venues stay open past midnight on at least one night of the week, and 43 run 24/7.
- All 14 airport lounges on the site are past security, and each one lists its terminal and nearest gate.
How we work
Every venue was approved by a person, and every number carries its source. 76 of the PC counts were checked by hand against the venue’s photos and pages, 77 come from the venue’s own website, and 10 from reviews. Nobody from the team has been inside these venues, and we do not claim otherwise. Where a figure is not published, we say so instead of guessing. Comparisons such as “one of eight venues in Los Angeles open past midnight” are calculated from our data. The whole process is on the methodology page.
We do not publish review text or Google photos. No venue pays for its place in a list, and claiming a listing is free.
Run a venue, or spotted a mistake?
Operators can add a venue or claim a listing and correct it. Anyone can report an error from the venue page or through the contact page.
