Terms of use

By using GamingCafeMap you accept the terms below. If you do not, please do not use the site.

What this site is

GamingCafeMap is an independent directory. We are not connected to the venues listed here, we do not take bookings, and we are not a party to anything you buy from a venue.

Accuracy, and what we do not promise

The information here comes from public sources and from our own checks, described field by field on the methodology page. It can be out of date the day after we check it: venues change their hours, raise prices, move machines and close. Check with the venue before you travel, and treat what is written here as a starting point rather than a guarantee. We do not accept liability for a wasted journey or for a decision made on a figure that turned out to be wrong — and we ask you to tell us about it so we can fix it.

Ratings and review counts come from Google and belong to Google and to the people who wrote them. We do not reproduce review text.

Using our content

You may link to any page here, quote a short passage with a link back, and use our figures in an article if you say where they came from. You may not copy the directory in bulk, scrape it for a competing listing, or republish our counts as your own data. Venue names, logos and trade marks belong to their owners.

For venue operators

Claiming is free. It does not buy a position, a badge or a colour on this site. A claimed listing looks the same as any other; the only visible difference is that the fields you update are marked as stated by the venue, with the date. To claim, you need to show that you are connected to the business: an email address on the venue’s domain, the phone number already in the listing, or the venue’s own social account.

What you can change. Once a claim is accepted you can correct opening hours, contact details, prices and the amenities list directly. The PC count, the address and the venue name go through moderation, because the PC count decides how a venue is grouped and compared across the site: it is changed only against something we can look at — a photo of the floor, a seating map, or a booking system that shows the stations. The description, the rating, the review counts and the review topics are not editable; complaint topics are not removed on request. Tell us what we have missed, and if it holds up we will check it and rewrite the description ourselves.

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you send us, and you confirm that you have the right to send it. By sending text, figures or images you give us permission to publish them on this site and to keep a copy for our records. We can decline, edit or reverse any change, and we can end a claim that is used to publish something false.

Paid placement. No venue pays to appear in this directory, and nothing on the site today is paid for. If paid placement is introduced, it will be a separate slot labelled Premium listing wherever it appears. It will never change the order of the ordinary results, never change a PC count, a price or the colour band a venue sits in, and never hide a complaint topic, a correction or a closure. Anything we are paid for will say so on the page where it appears.

Removals and closures. If a venue has closed, tell us: the page will be marked as closed rather than deleted, so that people searching for it get an answer. If a venue is not open to the public — a private club, a company room — tell us and we will unpublish it after checking. We do not remove an accurate listing on request. If you believe a page carries something unlawful, or personal data that should not be there, write to [email protected] with the page link and the detail, and we will look at it.
