Getting in. Students, staff, faculty, alumni and guests are welcome. An account is set up on the first visit, and under-18s need an adult with them.
About this esports arena
182 words · editorialThe UC Irvine Esports Arena takes up 3,500 square feet on the Student Center Terrace, at the middle of the University of California campus in Irvine. Its own page settles the access question in one line - students, staff, faculty, alumni and guests are welcome - and describes the room as the first public esports facility on a college campus.
The floor is 36 NZXT machines on RTX 4070 Ti cards with Ryzen 7 5800X processors, Logitech peripherals and Vertagear chairs. That is the second-largest PC count in the Anaheim area among the four venues that publish one. A Console & Community Corner sits alongside the PCs, used for club events and for demonstrating virtual reality.
Play is $5 an hour or $20 for a week of unlimited access, bought at the front desk or reserved online; UC Irvine students get one free hour a week.
Hours are the weak point. The arena site listed Friday only, 10:00 to 23:00, during a renovation that ran to 24 September 2026, and Google holds no opening times for the venue at all. University holidays are closed. Call before travelling.
The rating is 4.8 from 75 Google reviews.
