About this esports arena
150 words · editorialRedbird Esports Arena occupies more than 11,000 square feet of the Redbird Game Complex on North School Street in Normal, Illinois, the building that also holds the university's bowling and billiards centre. Campus Recreation puts the access rule in one line: use of the esports facility is first-come first-serve for students, university members and the public.
Seventy-two gaming PCs make up the floor, with current-generation consoles, space for tabletop games, a broadcast and production booth and student support rooms alongside them.
Illinois State students play free with a Redbird Card. Anyone else pays $7.50 an hour or $60 for a thirty-day pass.
Doors are noon to 23:00 Monday to Saturday and 15:00 to 23:00 on Sunday. Those are semester hours and they shorten over breaks.
Like the Seattle lounge, the arena has no entry of its own in Google Maps, so there is no rating here and no record of the hours other than the university's.
