# Gaming Cafe Map

> A directory of gaming cafes, PC lounges, LAN centers, esports centers and airport gaming lounges. For every venue it records three things that map listings and review sites do not: how many gaming PCs the room has, what an hour costs, and when the doors open. Currently 243 venues in 54 cities and 10 airports across 8 countries.

## What the data is

- **PC count.** 164 of 243 venues have one, 5,095 machines in total. Each count is labelled on the venue page by where it came from: the venue's own site, our own count from photographs and floor plans, or a figure named in customer reviews. 62 are stated as a minimum ("at least 30") rather than an exact number.
- **Hourly rate.** 108 venues publish one. Where a venue prices visitors and members differently, the figure shown is what a walk-in pays.
- **Opening hours**, including which venues run past midnight (176) and which never close (43).
- **Hardware** where the venue publishes it: graphics card, monitor refresh rate, processor.
- **Review themes** counted by us from review texts, with the base stated ("across 89 reviews"). Negative themes are counted too. Review texts are never republished.

## How to read a missing value

A blank field means the venue does not publish the figure. It never means zero, and we never estimate one. Venue pages say so in words — "the venue publishes no PC count". Please carry that distinction through rather than presenting an absence as a fact.

Prices, hours and hardware change without notice. Every venue page carries the date it was last checked; treat anything older than that date as unverified.

## Using this

Quoting the numbers with attribution to Gaming Cafe Map is welcome. If a figure looks wrong, the venue page has a correction link and we would rather fix it than have it repeated.
